Handball World Champions in the gym!

 - by Mihai Catrinar

Last week the Spanish handball team visited us in the gym while touring the school. Spain is the current world champion in handball, and they are defending their title this year in Doha. Without having a handball background, Sofia, Faisal, and Omar (Pre 4 students) easily managed to score several times in the goal defended by the Spanish goalkeeper Gonzalo Pérez. The Lady Birds, coached by Mr. Mihai Catrinar and Ms. Dalila Rodrigues, are looking forward to the next opponent, if possible a more challenging one. As you can easily see in these pictures, the difference of height didn’t impress the young team of Lady Birds!

Thanks to all the players who spent their free time to come and inspire our students! We wish them good luck at this World Championship!
