U14 Boys’ Football moving into Performance

 - by Dalila Rodrigues

On the 25th of November the QUESS U14 Boys played against a very good cohort of U14 Boys from the English Modern School (EMS). Playing the 11-a-side game, and having suffered an early goal the SEK boys showed great spirit throughout the match, creating skilled opposition. The Men of the Match were goalkeeper Salahaddin Mustaffa, and defender Saif Ghoraibeh. Both footballers performed exceptionally well throughout. On what was a very even match, the U14 Boys were unfortunate not to score, and ended up suffering a second goal just 30 seconds to the end. Final score: EMS 2-0 SEK. Onwards and upwards!

U14 Boys’ Football squad: Adrián García; Ahmed Hassan; Alejandro Tebar; Awab Abuagla; Azhar Iqbal; Gerard Cano; Gorken Aris; Isaac Miller; João Aleixo; Julian Allenspach; Mahmoud Ladki; Mark Elsonbaly; Mohammad Gharaibeh; Nicolas Montesinos; Omar Awad; Oscar Morrondo; Saif Ghoraibeh; Salahaddin Mustaffa.

 - by Mihai Catrinar

Grade Level: Pre 4, Pre 5, Grade 1, Grade 3

We feel inspired about the students’ creativity during the stand-alone unit of Individual Pursuits. “Mastering basic movement skills ensures body development and conditions performance” is the central idea of this unit. In this unit we’ll build the inquiry and the students’ understanding using the following concepts: “Development”, “Performance”, and “Patterns”.
